one-on-one meetings
with your advisor.
Academic advising is essential to obtaining a high quality education. Meet with an advisor you are comfortable with regularly. Advisors are available to answer your questions, help plan out schedules, and advise you on a variety of issues.
If you are a current student in the College of Agriculture, you have been assigned a faculty advisor in your major. Check with your department office to find out who your faculty advisor is. Visit with your advisor regularly to keep him/her apprised of your progress and plans. If you would like to change your faculty advisor, have a discussion with the advisor you would prefer and with his/her approval make the switch in your department office.
