Dr. Shelton is responsible for the College farm, and research and graduate programs in the College of Agriculture. He is a Registered Professional Entomologist with expertise in Integrated Pest Management (IPM), apiculture, and insect control methodology. He has taught courses in IPM, beekeeping, agricultural chemical safety and related areas. Research interests include biological controls, post-harvest disinfestation of plants using controlled atmospheres and other areas of insect pest management. Dr. Shelton also has considerable experience conducting international pest management training programs.
