Dr. Shelton is responsible for research and graduate programs in the College of Agriculture, Food & Environmental Sciences. In this position, he serves as CAFES Graduate Coordinator, Campus Coordinator for the Agricultural Research Initiative (ARI), and Administrative-Technical Representative for the U.S.D.A. McIntire-Stennis Forestry Research Program. He is a Board Certified Entomologist and licensed Pest Control Advisor with expertise in Integrated Pest Management (IPM), apiculture, and insect control methods. He has taught courses and conducted research in IPM, beekeeping, pesticide safety and related areas. Dr. Shelton serves on the University Master Plan and Campus Planning Committees and represents the CSU on the California Department of Pesticide Regulation’s Pest Management Advisory Committee. Dr. Shelton is married with 3 children and is an avid fly fisherman.
