Welcome to BioResource and Agricultural Engineering

Built to Solve. Ready to Lead.

Agriculture and natural resources depend on people who can turn complex challenges into practical solutions. At Cal Poly, BioResource and Agricultural Engineering students combine engineering, technology and management with Learn by Doing to design, build and improve the systems that support agriculture, water, energy and the environment.

Beyond the Classroom

Some of your most meaningful experiences happen outside class. In BioResource and Agricultural Engineering you'll find your community in a club or team, work alongside faculty on research and discover new ways to put your interests and skills into action.

Clubs and Opportunities

Build Your Community

Your Cal Poly experience extends beyond academics. Through student clubs, competition teams and professional societies, you’ll find your people, build friendships and industry connections, and develop leadership skills while creating, competing and solving problems together.

Research and Innovation

Put Curiosity to Work

Work alongside faculty and industry partners to investigate questions facing agriculture and natural resources. From automation and controlled environment agriculture to water and energy systems, you’ll test ideas and develop technologies with the potential for real-world impact.

Research Your Opportunities

Rangeland Ecology and Management Professor Marc Horney works with a graduate student to take a drone equipped with LIDAR, hyperspectral, and multispectral imagery capture on a test flight.

INCLUSIVE EXCELLENCE

Supporting a Culture Where Everyone Can Thrive
