Competition Teams
The Dairy Challenge Team sharpens consulting skills by analyzing real-world financial and production records from California dairies.
A competitive team that builds expertise in dairy product quality and processing through regional and national competitions.
The Dairy Quiz Bowl Team is an academic competition team that represents Cal Poly at the annual American Dairy Science Association meeting, building knowledge across dairy science disciplines.
This team competes through the Intercollegiate Dressage Association, earning multiple regional titles. The student-run team welcomes all riding levels and focuses on skill development and competition.
The Cal Poly Equestrian Team competes in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association, building horsemanship skills. The student-run team travels while competing against top schools across the region.
Eventing is known to be the ultimate test of horse and rider. It requires speed, strength, stamina, bravery, accuracy, and precision of the highest caliber. The club welcomes new members with open arms, whether they own a horse and plan to compete, or are a lover of the sport and a non-competitor.
Affiliated with the national American Institute of Floral Designers organization, the team supports florists through hands-on experience, design shows and major floral events.

A competitive team where students evaluate beef, sheep, swine and goats, building decision-making, industry knowledge and professional judging skills.
An intercollegiate team focused on traditional forestry skills through hands-on, safety-focused competition.
This student group practices mule packing skills and how to apply those skills to a career in packing. And they compete against other intercollegiate teams at Bishop Mule Days. *Also an Enterprise (ASCI 490) Class in the Winter and Spring Quarters*
The Cal Poly Polo Team offers students the chance to ride, compete and build interpersonal skills on the field. All experience levels are welcome to learn polo, train together and represent the university.
A student design team that builds a quarter-scale tractor for national American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers competition, gaining real-world engineering and fabrication experience.
Precision Agriculture and Automation Club (PAAC) is a multidisciplinary club centered on robotics, automation and precision agriculture through hands-on projects and competitions.
The Cal Poly Reined Cow Horse Team is comprised of students of all skill levels, who are passionate about the reined cow horse industry. It promotes learning and provides an entity that fosters competition against other reined cow horse collegiate teams throughout the year on their privately owned horses.
