What to do, When

As a transfer student new to Cal Poly there is a lot to do to get acquainted and started. Just follow these simple steps.

Prospective Transfers

Learn how to apply and visit assist.org, a State of California website to see how the units from your current school will transfer over and what classes you can knock out now to save time at Cal Poly.

Newly Admitted

You’ve been accepted, congrats. To ensure you're ready for the academic year, we recommend all incoming transfer students check through the following steps to best set themselves up for success at Cal Poly.

Your First Semester

You made it to campus, now what? Other than attending class, meeting your advisor and professors, and taking care of your mental health, here are some things you need to do your first semester.
