Center for Wine and Viticulture

Cal Poly’s JUSTIN and J. LOHR Center for Wine and Viticulture

• The Center will include both a 15,600-square-foot winery building and a 12,000-square-foot conference and meeting hall. The buildings will include crush, fermentation, barrel, sensory, bottling, enology and viticulture rooms, as well as teaching and research labs, a bonded winery, offices, and community and industry meeting spaces.
• The Center will allow for students to gain a comprehensive understanding of not just vineyards and grape cultivation.
• The winery is anticipated to be open in late 2019.
• Fundraising for the $16 million project is 90 percent complete, with lead gifts secured from Lynda and Stewart Resnick, owners of JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery and Jerry Lohr of J. Lohr Vineyards.
